Description
Concrete screw, also known as masonry screws, cement screws, anchor screws, are designed for use in solid concrete, and tap thread into a pre-drilled hole in the base material.
Types of concrete screws include hex washer head concrete screw, hex washer head slotted concrete screws (tapcon screws), Flat head torx concrete screws, Philips flat head concrete screws.
Concrete screw needs a hole on base material.
Hole diameter must be larger than the concrete diameter, say, 5/8’’ anchor requires the hole to be 3/4’’ ; Depth of hole needs to be a minimum 1/2’’ deeper than the anchor length, this gives space for the dust during installation, then the anchor can fully penetrate into the concrete fully, and will not bottom out.
