Description
Brass knurled thread insert nuts employ ultrasonic/heat, press in,molded in installation method in plastic.
Heat set threaded insert is designed for use in thermoplastics, it melts the hole by vibration or thermal press and plastic flows into the knurling of the insert during installation,when plastic cools, the insert will be placed in the plastic permanently.
Press-in insert is installed by pressing the insert into a pre-drilled hole, plastic material deforms and fulfill the knurling, undercut of the insert; The advantage of press-in insert is cost effective, but reduce torque and pull-out performance.
Molded-in insert is installed during injection molding process, the insert is placed in the mould on a retaining pin holder, the molten plastics are injected into the mould, the plastic fills the fins and undercut of the inserts, and left a female thread in plastics.
