It’s also called tamper-resistant screw. Just as the name implies, security screw can deter theft and vandalism as they have special drive style design. With unique drive style, non-staff will not be able to unscrew the screw without specific wrenches. So, it has a variety of application such as electric power facilities, railway facilities, highway facilities, oil field facilities, urban lighting lighting facilities, lamp car tires and public fitness equipment.

What’s the difference between security screw and common screws?

The difference between normal screw and security screw is the security screw usually has a pin in or have a unique drive style which can hardly be removed or can’t be removed at all.

Here listed some drive styles of security screw:

Hex Socket style-Pin in Hex Socket

Pig Nose style, it’s also called the snake eye drive style

Pin in Phillips

Pin in Square

Y style etc.

These screw can be removed by using matched screwdrivers.
