Description
Rivet nut, knowns as Blind Rivet nut (it is installed from the front side and no need to access to the backside) threaded Insert Nut, rivnut, nutserts. is an internally threaded insert nut, it is used for riveting two sheets that are too thin to hold a bolt or screw, or where there is access to the other side of the sheets, Rivet nuts provide a quick and easy installation, installation after zinc plating of the sheet is available. A pre-drilled or punched hole on the sheet is needed before installation, you can use a riveter to pull up rivet nut the force causes rivet body to expand and lock on the sheet.
Different type of rivet nut:
Rivet nuts can be classified into hex body rivet, round body rivet, slotted and swaging rivet nut according to body style. There are flat head, csk head, small head for different body styles, and we have closed end or open end rivet nut for different heads or body.
Round body rivet nuts is used for drilled or punched round holes while hex body is designed for hex holes. Slotted body rivet nut splits into four legs and provide a wide load bearing surface on the backside of the sheet. It has widest grip range of any blind rivet nuts.
Rivets nut applies to many fields including aerospace, automotive, electronics, tubing and panels.
