Description
Index Plunger is a type of locking device. It is composed of a knob, a threaded housing, an internal pin and a spring, Index plunger is needed, when the knob is pulled up, the pin retracts into the housing and the fixture can be re-positioned. The knob is released then the pin extends to insert into the position and lock the fixture.
Most index plunger in Wuxi Sunny has two types, one is the plunger with lock-out, the knob can rotate by 90° to keep the pin retracted and not extend into forward position. This lock out plunger is used in high leverage applications. The other type of plunger is no lock plunger, this type of plunger is used when the plunger does not need to stay retracted. It is commonly used in industrial equipment for positioning or holding.
